How can I remove sticker from bumper?

I have an old school parking sticker on my left rear bumper and i want to take it off with out scrathing my car, so what is the best way?

Ahh crap. . bumper stickers are a bit*h to get off. Just whip out the hair dryer and make it hot. Then use some of that heavy duty tar and bug cleaner to try and weaken it. Spray some on and leave it for a minute, then while it's hot start peeling. Make sure the stuff you spray on is safe for paint and clearcoats. Good luck that's the best I can tell ya.

Edit: Try not to use anything sharp to scrape. Even a screwdriver with a towel over it is a risk. . I know from experience.

yeah.. I agree... Use a blow dryer....

Run down to AutoZone or whatever and ask them there. They'll direct you to a bottle of this stuff that will take it right off. I forget what its called, but its made specifically for doing what you wanna do.

Yes...what Gotti said. I just saw some stuff today especially for stickers that should help rub the stuff right off. I believe their are a few products, atleast I saw some at Walmart...good luck! :)

Yup, just do what pheaton or Gotti said.

Wouldn't you feel better if this was put in the "detailing" forum?

I know I would.

=D

i was thinking that it should be in that forum but i wasnt sure if that is where it belonged

I used 3M adhesive remover to remove some decals from my old truck. That stuff worked great. I got it from a bodyshop, but I've seen it elsewhere since.

Goo Gone also works well. It shouldn't harm your clearcoat at all if applied and it removes residue left from stickers very well. I would first go ahead and use a hair dryer though to head the sticker and remove it.
