2k2 Civic LX... Clicking when brakes depressed in park...

I just noticed this today. Can't say for sure whether or not my car's always done this, but I have an automatic 2k2 LX and if I depress the brake while in park I hear a *click* that sounds like it's coming from inside the shift assembly. Problem only occurs in park, not while driving, not while the engine is off, and I haven't done any mods other than the exhaust and head/tail lights so I'm fairly sure it's nothing I did. Anybody else have this on their Civic?

That click is your safety lock mechanism releasing your shifter. It's to prevent you from shifting accidentally into reverse if you don't have your foot on the brake........ cuz would be kinda dangerous, right?

Not only in park, even when you are drving, you can hear a very little clicking when stepping on the brake..
Listen it carefully next time when u have chance!
