Low Brake Fluid

I noticed the other day that my brake fluid want at the max level. It wasnt near the minimum level yet but it was closer to the minimum level. The guy at the parts department said that it is normal. The car only has 4500 miles on it, and I dont think that is normal. Anyone have to add brake fluid to there car yet?

i haven't (12k mi). brake fluid will go down as your front pads wear down.

drbombay is correct:: I work at Honda and when we check brake fluid, this is really to see the condition of your brake pads. As your pads get worn, the fluid level will go down (it all has to do with hydraulics). We don't even top off the brake fluid. Onyl time we top off is when we either bled the brake system of installed a caliper/wheel cylinder/master cylinder. If you are concerned about it, just look at your master cylinder/calipers/whell cylinders ans see if there are any leaks. If not, don't worry about it. If there is, take it in to be fixed. Don't forget, it's free when under warranty.
