part fell off when opening valve cover
 
was changing cam sensor today and when I went to lift valve cover this fell out of it .anybody know what this is. Maybe some kind spacer I'm not sure any help appreciated...

What year and engine?

it is a 2003 civic ex 1.7 with 385000 miles i lifted valve cover off and this came from some where

First guess would be a bushing from a coil pack where the single 10mm bolt goes through the plastic tab on the coil.

Yeah I look at a coil pack online I can see where that bushing is man that is great news I thought it had something to do with the motor (:

I checked all the coils they were still in the coils are these things in the motor are there round things between the valves on cam something in there I can't tell if it's or if it's a solid piece it looks the same width as in motor just kind of weird because I was picking valve cover up when it fell off you would have thought it would have been down in the motor not inside the valve cover

Looks kinda like a part of the valve stem area or something

must been a spacer from somewhere car is running as normal now, hopefully get another 100,000 (.
