2001 Honda civic

Sooo I bought my civic from someone & I’ve had it for about 2 months & there’s this little blue switch underneath the radio I’ve never touched it but I’m curious as to what it is , any ideas ? I can upload a picture if that will help !

Def post up a pic. I'm 95% certain it's aftermarket

Definitely aftermarket. Would have to physically trace wires connected to the switch to figure out what it is

My guy. It needs to be said. EJECTO SEATO CUZ!

Real talk though, flip the switch and see if it does anything. Get out, walk around, see if anything lights up. Prolly best to do it at like.. dusk-ish. You might have surprise underglows or interior lighting. Or, like Colin said, foglights if your car has aftermarket ones. Scariest-case scenario (which would honestly be a non-issue), it's a battery kill switch. Most likely scenario, previous owner disconnected it and didn't replace the panel with anything.

edit: in hindsight, that'd be a scary battery disconnect. I'd venture a guess that the largest gauge wire that switch could accommodate would be 14ga, maybe 12ga. A battery kill switch you'd prolly want 4ga at minimum

Pretty easy to pop that little panel out to look for wires

I like the way you think. Buy a label maker and just put "ejecto seato" next to it and scare unsuspecting passengers
