any tips on lowering my civic??? wut are the pros & cons of lowering my civic. i was readin' some stuffs and it seems like its just not about the springs when it comes to lowering the 7th gen. civics. it also needs a lotta stuffs.. so wut am i lookin' at if i wanna lower my car without damaging the other parts of the car??? well, obviously, i don't know much a=)bout cars. a lil help would be nice.. =) |
U can bring your car to me and I'll lower it for ya......for the experianced guy with a hoist and air tools it takes about an hour or so....let me know |
i just got eibach sport lines.. a&j in richmond installed it for me.. pro's are way better control.. and it looks nicer (no wheel gap) cons, rough ride.. |

I was told it takes about 1 hour for each spring, so, a typical shop charges $70 labor, so, about $280 I was quoted. Definitly a little bit on the expensive side. As for different springs, Eibach offer the best stock like ride. H&R are more for handling. If you lower your car more than 1.75", you'll probably need a camber kit. The lower you go though, the less your stock struts will last, so, you'll need to get new struts eventually. If you have the cash, might as well do all at once to save on labor. I am looking at getting my car lowered as well. I was quoted $325 for H&R springs and $200 to install. |

H&R drops the car 1.75" in the front and 1.5" in the rear. Brand new springs! |

$350 + tax installed. I need to do alignment after that, which is another 60-70 bucks. Dun need camber kit. |

Thanks man. If I lived in Richmond, I would get you to do them. I think 4 hours of labour is a little crazy actually but an hour is more reasonable. |

You're going for 50 profile? Yikes! That tire is big! I have 215/40 on 17" rims. |
hey, i suggest you go to>> SWIFTY << he got my springs installed and i LIKE IT! i got the Neuspeed Race springs and the handling is great! a little bumpy, but what do you expect when you lower a car.... camber isnt too bad either - it wont eat up ypur tires |

I like CASH[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/IMG] Oh yeah and by the way youre gonna wanna go with a 215/40/17 not a 50 series tire, and as far as how low you will go, with Neuspeed Race you will loose all of the wheel gap in the front and tuck the rear tire about 1/4inch, with the Neuspeed Sport you will have about 1.5 inch gap all the way around |

Well they only thing I want to know...is what is better...coilovers or springs...And why are the springs your getting sooo expensive....ahhh.....coilovers must be sooo much more...what about GC's what do those go for...in Richmond....cuz I will be going there this summer....I guess I will get a shop to install mine..and not risk doing it myself.....Well can one of you from BC...give me a price range of what coilovers go for....thanx... |
