Daughter ripped off bottom on 17 civic The car is so low. Anyways it looks like it is a heat shield. How long can this wait before I put another one back in? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...b1ac708f7.jpeg Exposed https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...969022a90.jpeg Rolled up under the car https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.civ...87ec4fcaf.jpeg More exposed |
Re: Daughter ripped off bottom on 17 civic heat shield is to improve cat efficiency when it is in the cat. no hurries |
Re: Daughter ripped off bottom on 17 civic that looks more like the engine splash guard/access panel for oil changes. Not a huge deal to leave it off, and they unfortunately don't sell it on its own. There are beefier aftermarkets out there, but they def run like $250. oddly enough, they sell the Type R one by itself, and word on the street is it fits the non-Type R hatchbacks, and I'd guess it fits the other 1.5Ts in that case, but not too sure if it'd fit trims with the 2.0L non-turbo. |
Re: Daughter ripped off bottom on 17 civic oh, sorry, the heat "shield on that cat is the thing wrapping it, shoulda have guessed... |
Re: Daughter ripped off bottom on 17 civic That is just a flexpipe, not the cat. |
