NBP Paint Code?

What is the actual paint code for Nighthawk Black Pearl for 2001 from this list?

5688
5801
5841

I know the OEM code is B92P.

Theres a sticker inside the driver's side door sill that has the code printed on a sticker. It will vary by car and there probably are slight variations between all the codes.

Derek-CEO 11-06-2002 10:18 AM

ya, I looked there but there was nothing matching those numbers

fordfocussucks 11-06-2002 12:42 PM

Look in your manual! :)

dragoon 11-06-2002 04:37 PM

tried that, the manual doesn't have the paint code in it.

CivicPunker17 11-06-2002 05:32 PM

im pretty sure b92p IS the paint code...i have eternal blue pearl and my paint code is b96p. dont know what the other nubers would be for.

Derek-CEO 11-06-2002 09:35 PM

have a look here paint codes

Grey 11-06-2002 10:38 PM

Why those numbers? When I wanted some SSM paint I gave the paint shop the code on the inside door jamb and some digit in my VIN. They had the rest in their computer...

Derek-CEO 11-07-2002 05:57 AM

prolly diff shades of the same thing. i want to order it, but don't want to get the wrong one.

Grey 11-07-2002 07:52 AM

Yeah, I was surprised that there are different shades of SSM too. My VIN had something to do with the proper shade for my car when I ordered the paint.

Derek-CEO 11-07-2002 09:05 AM

where did you order it? Was it by the quart or a spray can?

Grey 11-07-2002 10:19 AM

By the quart from a place that deals in paints for bodyshops. Just look for bodyshop paint supplies in the phone book or something like that. It doesn't come in spray paint form as far as I know.

Derek-CEO 11-07-2002 12:38 PM

that is why i wanted to know the code, cause ppg does sell the spray cans.

Grey 11-07-2002 02:07 PM

Ah, I getcha. I think your best bet is going to one of those paint supply stores and finding out for sure from them. That's cool that they sell it in cans. If I had knowne that I might not have bought a paint gun and all my paint. Oh well, live and learn. Live and learn.
