Is the Si a 7th Gen? If you look at the Si it doesn't have much in common with 7th Gen. The exterior, interior, and engen are all different. It has more in common with the RSX than the Civic. It's more a cheap man's RSX than a Civic. IMO |
yes, dont dis your cars step-brother |
they're all similiar dude. honda's global platform. *cough* not exactly poor man's rsx since its price is the same as the base. I'll take rsx base over 02 si though. yeah its a 7th gen too. |
actually.. you sure it's a 7thgen? they had si back in 1978? i think the si is at it's 3 or 4th gen?:susp: |
I'm not trying to dis the car. I'm just saying that it doesn't look like a civic. It looks more like a toned down rsx. The only thing that ties it to a 7th Gen is center consol. It just seems odd to me. |
The new SI is built off of the exact same platform as the 7th gen Civic. Same engine chassis, engine mounts, suspension layout, etc. Therefore it is a 7th gen Civic. |
<< actually.. you sure it's a 7thgen? they had si back in 1978? i think the si is at it's 3 or 4th gen?:susp: >> The Si didnt come out until 1986. Where did you get 78 from? :shake: Technically if you're just saying gens of Si's the Si is on its 5th gen. (86-88,89-91,92-95,99-00,2k2) However it shares similarities with the 7th gen Civic. |
Yes, the Si is a 7th gen Civic!! |
True...it's a 7th gen.. but it's technically it's own model and not a civic in it's own right.. it was originally labered Honda SiR.. not Civic.. the civic was only added in late 2k1 when they decided to let it be a civic and not a stand alone model because Honda was not offering different models of it. no DX SiR.. nor Si SiR.. no SiR LX lol..no different engine options..so They slapped the word Civic onto it like it's Japanese and euro buddies.. there's also a 4 doors SiR in the UK and Asia... Cheers Mohawk |
thanks, now it makes sence |
