Modding a Civic!?!?!? People say modding a civic is not worth it. I think it is. With alot of bolt-ons it will truly make a difference. I feel much difference from stock when I just bought my car. What Im trying to say is, our cars are very easily modded. Doesnt require that much work to put a bolt-on. Comparing to my friends cars they have to dig deep in order to change something. For instance, one of my friends wanted to change his plugs for his v6 and I told him I would help. Then I realized its not a civic. His car was a v6 and only changing the plugs tooks long. Im trying to tell you guys that our cars are very easy to understand. Basically, if you have common sense, you can do it. |
for boltons are you talking about i/h/e your not looking at that much more hp. honestly bolt on are not worth it. i 200 h 200 e 500+ you could buy a nitros kit for that and have some actual power. |
duuuuurrr, i dont know how to mod a V6. since V6 is only one car i hope you guys know which one i'm tlaking about, durrrrr |
bolt-ons for the d17 don't do crap. if you wanna spend less than $1k do it like Deciuss said 'Nitrous' |
or just save up another 500 and buy a used sf turbo kit lol. i was all for boltons untill i put an a injen cai and a 2.5 inch cat back pipe to a raven muffler on my car. that intake was the bigest wast of money ever and set back my turbo fund. i still cant belive people say o man i/h/e makes some power i can feal. |
Instead of spending 1000 dollars on bolt ons, you could give me the 1000 dollars and you would have about the same horse power. Something to keep in mind. |
^^^^ so true |

if YOU think its worth it, then it is.....and no, i dont think bolt-ons make a huge difference on the d17. |
an intake looks good when your driving? man i would laugh in somones face if i was siting around chilling and some one came up and poped there hood saying man look at my hot and sexy intake. |
bolt ons for other cars can add lots of hp but the civic is tuned very well and the engen is very efficient direct from the factory. hence why bolt ons = not worth it on a d17 |
if you want an intake just for sound buy a $20 intake from eBay and slap an injen decal on it. |

My bolt-ons definately added some horses. Dc 4-1 header 200 (new) aem v2 150(new) greddy evo full catback 300 (slighty used and lasted 2 years) mr downpipe 48(new) aem pulleys 50(new) ground wires 20(new) so lets say you get i/h/e for 650 and buy a wet kit for 500, that equals 1,150 to get everything. Comparing to turbos that retail for 3k and another 1k for having it tuned/installed. Nitrous really is the best bang for your buck, but if you not going turbo+nitrous then at least buy some bolt-ons. |
you maybe got 10hp for thows add ons not 50 that you could have goten for cheaper for a new nitros kit or for 300 bucks on a used one |
n00b |
Kinda off subject, but do they make a super charger for the vic? |
me the noob or him? |
no there is no SC for the civic |
10 hp from my i/h/e/pulleys/ground/dp? your insane. I dont want a used kit. You never know what could happen with used products and you dont wanna buy a *used* kit unless you know its 100% functional. Plus, I got warranty with my kit. |
your not going to get 10 hp outa intake/h/e and i dont know about pullys. look i dont think your going to be pulling 130whp with thows add ons |

even if you get 140hp a nitros kit will take that. the honda only has something like 110whp if i remeber correctly when somone put it on the dyno and then they dinoed there car with bolt ons and only made something like 5.7whp. |

Or you could just keep your car stock and by something faster down the line. |

arrg your saying your getting this power that you can feal from just bolt ons not bolt ons with nitros. if your going to spend cash on boltons and nitros then just buy a turbo its the same price. |
or how about bolt ons, nitrous, and turbo!!!!!!!!! yes! lol *delete**delete**delete**delete**delete**delete* i wish i was a mod, this shit would've be deleted along time ago. Civic_RedLine = :drama: :giggle: |
