Do you have lights? Your battery may be totally drained to the point of no return. Get a new battery and see if that helps. If not then the starter might be dead.

when you say doesn't start we need more info.

you turn the key and nothing happens?

or does it turn over but not start?

etc.

Wayyyy to vague to give an answer.

ncirom2003 01-22-2005 07:12 PM

hold the horn down and try to crank it if the horn stops as your trying to crank it the battery is dead... if your turning the key (with horn down or not) and lights come on inside and stereo works then its probly an alternator

2004CivicHBSi 01-22-2005 07:28 PM

woot i miss my crx =(.. yea just give us some more info.

gongxia649 01-22-2005 07:42 PM

sorry for the lack of information but im new in cars so i dont know how to explain it with lots of details.
well, horn, lights works fine. battery is almost new...could be the ****ing starter? if it is how much does it cost?

gongxia649 01-22-2005 07:50 PM

lights are working fine..
when i turn the key 3 red signs are on: motor sign,an !and P sign, oil sign. and a yellow engine sign turns on and then off. so only motor sign,an !and P sign, oil sign stays on...whats the proble,m?

I had a 89 crx SI

I had this problem
If you have an old starter
It can develope a oxidized grove on the plates
And if the car stops on that groove the car will not start.

You'll have to push start the car if you have a stick.

I had to take it apart and sand conductor plates until the oxidation was gone.
I did this twice and then finally bought a new starter.

good luck

not enough info..... when you turn the key is there complete silence , a sound of something clicking (every few seconds), the sound a car normally makes when its starting, or does it make that noise only reallllllly reallllly slow

2004CivicHBSi 01-22-2005 08:00 PM

its so hard to find a CRX in good condition =(...

2k3kansasEX 01-23-2005 07:51 AM

ya i would say if the car is parked outside an it is that cold your &^%* you could try to get inside an let things thaw out. is there snow all over everything under the hood? I say get it inside thaw it out an then start to troubleshoot.

gongxia649 01-23-2005 08:18 PM

i dont have a garage...i always keep the snow removed...so there is no snow on the car.

ncirom2003 01-23-2005 08:42 PM

that cold weather can really screw with a battery.... id get it checked out by autozone or w/e b4 u buy a new one because they to a battery test free

gongxia649 01-25-2005 08:10 PM

yeah my friend and i found out its the battery. he told me its not fully recharged..so hes gonna drive it on the highway to have it fully recharged..thats what he says.

ncirom2003 01-25-2005 08:24 PM

rep points maybe........
