Received an interesting call from honda this past weekend....
 

So here I am just hangin around the house this past saturday, when all of the sudden the phone rings and I answer it.....

Me: Hello.....

Honda Sales Rep.: Hi, this is so-and-so calling from Honda Motor Corporation and this is regarding your 2002 Honda Civic EX coupe.

Me: Ok, is there some sort of recall or something???.....

Honda Sales Rep.: No, no, this is just regarding your warranty on your Civic. From our records, It looks like your warranty is coming to a close soon and we were just calling to see if you were interested in an extension to your warranty.

(At this point, I figure Id mess with him :cool: )

Me: Oh, Im very interested in getting an extension to my warranty, but I just have one question for you.... I have made some minor modifications to the car. As long as Honda will cover them in the warranty, I have no problems signing an extension. (I figure its worth a shot)

Honda Sales Rep: Ah, please hold on Sir. I have to check with manager on this one.... About 5 minutes later, his manager gets on the phone.

Honda Sales Rep's Manager: Hello sir, I was told that you have made some minor modifications to the car, what modifications have you made exactly?

Me: Well the car is pretty much stock, except for K20A Integra Type R engine thats under the hood, the custom turb........

At this point all I hear from the Sales Rep's Manager as he proceeds to cut me off there is....

Honda Sales Rep's Manager: Thank you......

Click.....

I was laughing for good 5 minutes after that.....Just thought Id share that story.

hahha.. seen that.. idiot honda rep said theres no such thing as a RSX type R nor has he heard of a DC 5 Type R... made a side bet with him but felt bad and just gave him a URL.

Don't know why they weren't able to cover those minor modifications...

yea dont they know its still from honda pffft~

their just sales rep. only thing they need to know how to do is sell cars.
its true how they dont know much about the car their selling but they do sell some (to the idiots who are too gullable)

There isn't a RSX type R... only a RSX type S... but there is a Integra type R (DC5= k20a or DC2=b18c5.. whatever)..

sorry to bitch.. but that just bothered me..lol :hgrin:

He also ended up saying that Integra type R didnt exist beyond the DC2 body style.. didnt feel like saying this because i felt the point was already made.. but theres always that one guy .. anyways.. ya i was "wrong" but embarrased the honda guy which was cool.

HAHAHA nice. I thought they were going to cover all your mods under their extended warranty.
