Anyone notice that on the second listing under the Terms of Sale it says,

"Colorado residents are subject to sales tax."

WTF? Why? Am I missing something?

ignorant people... :nono:

Titleist71 02-12-2004 08:47 PM

I know how to get the skyline here from Japan. Buy the car...then have the motor taken out. Ship the chassis seperate from the engine. The Chassis is shipped as "parts only" and the engine is shipped...well "engine"or "drive-train". Doing this you avoid all the so called red tape and sidestep the expensive costs of emissions standards in the U.S. I will cost some money but not as much as importing the car complete.

guamcivic2k1 02-12-2004 09:25 PM

they made a left hand drive skyline?

invasian 02-12-2004 09:39 PM

wow...a left hand drive skyline!

kileryoyo 02-12-2004 09:41 PM

Thats what pisses me off that you can get a skyline most places other than here damn nissan and damn emmisions.

littlePman 02-12-2004 09:53 PM

Skylines cost about 30 grand for the car. Yet legalizing and shipping is what brings the price up to 80,000.

No they never made a left hand drive skyline from the factory from my knowledge but its not
hard to switch the driver side and thats probaly what the d00d in arabia did :D

Angry_Angel 02-12-2004 10:16 PM

Does anyone know if you can sidestep the importing red tape by having the car shipped to Canada and going there to pick it up and drive it across the border somewhere? (Not intending on doing this, just curious)

Shakana 02-12-2004 10:32 PM

i wish i had that :(

if u have it shipped anywhere outside the US it will still be a problem... USUALLY(not always) border patrol will check VIN numbers and ur driver's license as well when u come inside the US whether it be from the canada border or mexico.

civicstreetrcr 02-15-2004 08:27 PM

A friend of mine knew someone in the Air Force who bought a Skyline while he was stationed in Japan and he sent all the parts home as Christmas presents for his family for them to get by Customs. There is also a 180SX from Japan (right hand drive w/the SR20DET :_bow: ) in the town over from me and he got the whole car over in one peice proformance parts and all. i don't know how  .

smoke4 02-16-2004 04:58 PM

why aren't skyline's US legal again?

civicstyle222 02-16-2004 05:59 PM

it's not 90,000 million it's 90,000 thousand. :hgrin:

dirtySAMURAI 02-16-2004 07:09 PM

90,000 thousand = 90,000,000

90 thousand = 90,000

SOMEbody needs to re-learn their basic skills...
