anyone heard about the k24 block with all the goodies for like 5000? 1 Attachment(s) yeah, some guy on club-rsx is starting to make a performance series of the k24 with darton sleeves, blue printed and balanced with dyno charts that should put 250 to the wheels. the price right now is 5000 for the motor and reflashed ecu....i dont thing the price includes the tranny and axels and such but 250 na...id pay 5000. the guy also says that the motor should be good up to 9500 rpms.......sounds good to me....the thread is somewhere on clubrsx.com and hid name is edo....there is an irc channel on efnet designated for info on the motors and ordering. its #osmotorsports on efnet....anyways, i apinted my interior flat black to turn it in and i think it actually looks better now....heres some pics....im gonna try this..... |

that sounds pretty good, i would like a built a tsx 2.4 block so i can boost. weird, i don't see a diffrence from my stock black |
weird, i don't see a diffrence from my stock black Thats the look i was going for but its been such a long time since its been back to stock that i guess it looked different to me......im gonna trade it in for an rsx so like stock is good.... also, if im not mistaken, the k24 is the tsx 2.4....i could be wrong tho |
Sounds like a good deal. what color was your dash before the repaint? |
well it was metallic blue and white.......it seemed like a good color scheme at first but it got old and hideous....everyone else liked it but i didnt after a while |
correct. The TSX uses the K24 engine. Its more finely tuned the accord k24 or the crv k24. |
well, for those that have the k20 mounts or are planning to get a k20 should maybe thing twice about the setup they are currently planning. I am, however, in no way endorsing this product.....just thought it was worth some thought. it sounds like a better setup with a higher redline and stonger output....its got all the internals and such... |
the thing is that there are already mounts out for the k20. Also, no one is sure it will fit in 2k1+ civics excluding the U.S SI hatch. thats been done already. |

wow...it looks like a .... piston. amazing! :pimp: |
well, its definitely worth research......i am going to be trading the civic in for an rsx (used) so i can have a reason to tear out and drop this little baby in.....this is actually supposed to be the "street legal" or tame version....there is another one thats supposed to be quite a bit more beefy but no price or info has been disclosed |

  kidding man....kidding. |
oh.....um...my bad........heres a lil info i found "- K24 accord block, darton sleeved - Closed deck. - K24 accord crank, fully race prepped - 88mm CP forged piston, with all the bells and whistles (gas ported, valve pockets relieved +1mm, oil ring return ports) - complete with CP wristpins and ring package. - Crower K24 magnalite forged rods - new bearings, mains/rods The final displacement for this motor is 2408cc with a 13.2:1 CR." |
think it would fit in a 1996 civic ex coupe? |
im not really sure that the engine bay would accomodate the motor...but with the right right amount of maoney.....anything is possible right? i know that the k20a spins the opposite way as the d and b but not sure if the k24 spins the same as the k20a.....im assuming it does as they are in the same family....just different displacement......if i had a 96 cpe....id drop a turboed b18c5 and run circles around most cars all day long.....stick with the b series....even the b16 is a decent starting point and they are relatively cheap |
thanks for the info....im just getting started with cars....bought mine like 2 months ago (first car) real nice for a 16 year old! |
btw where would i find a b18c5 engine, and what would i have to get so that a turbo wouldnt burn up my engine....(intercoooler or cold air intake?) |
try www.jdmhondaparts.com they can get just about anything and if you are going to run crazy boost levels....you gotta do internals.....pistons, rods, sleeves, etc....a b18 should be able to hold about 8-10 psi well |
4600 bucks for a b18c-r direct bolt in with lsd and ecu comes with 200 ponies @ 8000 rpms |
sounds good 2 me, or shall i say "Cool Beans" |
what kinda turbo would be good w/ the engine? |
|
|
Hey my interior was black and now its white. Like you I also don't like it anymore, it getting old.... did you try to take the paint off or you just said fvck it and painted it flat black??? |
Think that K24 could handle a turbo on it? |
probally |
jdmhondaparts.com is pretty sick, I've ordered from them before and had no problems. As for turbo the K24, that would be sick... |
