99 Civic LX Multiple Issues

Hi, new member here. I partially own, with my Mother fully owning, a black 1999 Honda Civic LX Sedan ----- a 6th gen model with a gray interior and automatic tranny. I am having the same problem with mine and the owners manual to the car doesn't say crap about the suspension type and my Charging Light and Check Engine Light are also on. The car is a little sluggish at times when going forward like rear wheels don't move at the same time the front wheels do, I hope it isn't tranny-related because I accidentally malshifted with the car at times. The car's engine has been revved up to speed up the warm-up process in cold weather, but sadly as a result, at one point, we needed new engine mounts for the car.

Can someone tell me what additionally might be wrong with mine and one of my belts squeals really loudly in cold or warm weather ----- not sure which belt is squealing and it also does that when I brake at a stop light and when it's cold or when warm or when we put on the defroster or most engine accessories. I am thinking it is the belt that drives the alternator, given what I said about engine accessories in relation, after all, I think of the mechanics screwed up the installation of a replacement alternator in haste.

Can someone help me here? Also tell me how much I might be looking at to repair the car and whether you think it is worth it at this point given all the economic damage to the country that Trump is doing....

moved to a new thread, try not to revive 10 year old threads

rear wheels aren't spinning freely? brakes might be getting held up, bearing could be bad, you'll need to check and see.
belt squeal, could need to be tightened, or replaced, need to check tension and condition, with the charging light on it might be too loose
post the code numbers for the check engine light Pxxxx format
