Hi guys, how everything? hope y'all are ok.

Guys I'm getting a new daily next week, I'm between a Civic coupe 2000 or a Civic sedan 2007 or 2008, apart for being a daily car I'll make it a street car that I can take to the track in my days off and enjoy. My girlfriend has a 2008 civic coupe(I don't like it too much) but since I've driven that car so many times I know that the 2007 or 2008 sedan might be almost the same in terms of handling. The question here is what do you recommend me to buy to make it a project and a daily reliable car at the same time, by the way this is going to be my first honda.

Guide me to this process I really want to know your opinions considering that some of u have a coupe 2000 in 2018. Thanks!

I haven't owned an 8th gen ('06-'11) but have owned a couple 6th gen ('96-'00) coupes, and currently drive '95 (5th gen) EX coupe. While the current one is (lighter in weight) my favorite the 6th gens are great as well. Easy to work on, plentiful, reasonably priced parts, plethora of related repair threads and videos.

One knock on them is their weak a/c system but if you live in annually cooler climate it may not be an issue.

A manual transmission is a better option.
