2019 Civic Touring wheel options
 

I'm looking to get the 2019 Honda Civic Touring and I like the wheel options you can get. BUT the Touring comes with 18" wheels and the ones in the options are all 17". My question is if I want the 17's will I have to pay for the 17" tires as well??

It sounds like your salesperson isn't well informed......
I don't ever get to see any accessory brochures, but there are 17, 18 and 19 inch wheels in the accessory section of the Honda parts catalog... maybe you should talk to parts and service to see what wheel choices are really available, then take that info to your salesperson and negotiate the deal.

Work out the wheel/tire deal with sales BEFORE you sign for the car.

They might just swap wheels you like off another new car and call it good. (in the shop we call this 'rim roulette')

I don't like the other 18" wheels in the catalogue. The wheels that come with the car are okay though so I'll probably just stick with them. I will ask about that when I go in though, just to see if they can do anything. Thanks for the info :)

Ok then to answer one of the original questions.....if you change wheel diameter you will need tires of the same diameter as the wheels. You cannot put 18 inch tires on 17 inch wheels.


If you don't like Hondas wheel choices, there's like a zillion aftermarket options out there

Hubby and I went to Honda today so he could test drive it (I already did on Thurs) and seeing the current wheels in the sunshine against the blue paint of the car, I actually quite like them, so we're going to leave em as is. Thanks everyone for your comments :)
