2020 Si Lane Watch

Hi folks, new here. Has anyone heard if Lane Watch is being replaced with Blind Spot Monitoring this fall when the 2020s come out?

Apologies if this topic has already been covered.

Cheers,
Brett

Re: 2020 Si Lane Watch

lane watch is to "wake up" distracted drivers when they are leaving their lanes without using the blinkers
blind spot is for when you are leaving the lane (blinkers or not) but there are another object where you are moving to and it's too close.

different purposes.

Re: 2020 Si Lane Watch

Thanks for the reply.

From my understanding, Honda specifically chose Lane Watch in favor of Blind Spot Monitoring due to the higher cost of BSP, so I do think they are for the same purpose: viewing the passenger side blind spot. More info here: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...y-phasing-out/

How would Lane Watch wake up a distracted driver?

Cheers.
