HID Bulbs for Tail Lights?

I have a 2000 Civic Ex Coupe, with the stock tail lights. If there any way to make the bulbs brighter? I want to black out the tail lights but I also want the people behind me to be able to see when I am braking/reversing.

Thanks.

probably. there are upgrade filament bulbs for almost every size. some are not available anymore due to japan not making them after the earthquake, but post your bulb sizes and i can suggest something. but keep in mind even with brighter than stock tails, the tint will automatically make you at fault in an accident.

Yup reverse HID tail lights are awesome.

I recommend against tinting any lights (from a safety standpoint). Illegal and I believe ticketable, unlike HIDs where you can't get in trouble unless it's blue/yellow/purple or you talk to much and let them look under the hood.

The only brighter brake/running lights might be CATZ or raybrig brand/type.
I mean I guess you could mod in some HID brake lights, but the brake lights also double as running lights, and so HIDs aren't dual stage brightness like what the 7443 bulbs do (dual filament).
