p28 chip question 2 Attachment(s) Attachment 88147 Attachment 88148 Working on h22 swapped civic. Motor is being replaced with another h22. I'm trying find out...is this ecu chipped or any info about you guys might know? It is marked "nitrous" lol. Any info is helpful. |
Re: p28 chip question Looks like it is. From my google-fu, I'm assuming this is the stock board http://image.superstreetonline.com/f...cuit_board.jpg |
Re: p28 chip question 1 Attachment(s) I took the liberty of circling the portions of your P28 ECU that kinda coincide with the DIY P28 chip install guide I found online. Differences I've found between your ECU and the DIY guide is the right-most circle, the resistor is installed differently (the resistor is installed in a barely different location and I don't see a jumper wire). Re: p28 chip question Thanks, now the question is... what do I do about a chip that'll run this new h22? I'm assuming that the chip saying "nitrous" would mean it'll be a rich tune that I don't want to run? The car wasn't running when I bought it a little while back. |
Re: p28 chip question Not sure. I'm curious as to whether or not you could send the ECU to a chip programming company/take it to a local shop that does the same so they can map it for a stock H22. I'm sure that's an option, but I can't be certain. This is all uncharted territory for me. |
Re: p28 chip question me too lol. I don't live anywhere near any dyno or tuning shop. out in the middle of nowhere. I need/want a chip that will be stock. meaning I want the h22 I'm swapping to run like it did in the original car. I don't know how much of a problem that is lol... |
Re: p28 chip question I guess you could always nab an H22 ecu off ebay  |
Re: p28 chip question If I were to go that route.. which ecu would I want to buy? I am just finding that there are about 100 different types of ecu's.. what's with that?? |
