1992 Honda civic dx brake fluid leak Hello all, I recently posted a thread about my brakes. They push all the way to the floor. Well today I was pressing the brake pedal over and over and having a friend observe my back right tire as that is where the leak us coming from. Further observation showed a pipe that connects to the wheel is leaking. I recently hit a squirrel and it messed up my exhaust and this pipe in guessing. Does anyone know what this pipe is called? I need to get a new one. I have circled the pipe that is leaking in yellow. The tire is to the right of the picture. The pipe is connecting to the tire. http://i60.tinypic.com/21afhbc.jpg http://i57.tinypic.com/2nbyih1.jpg |

I need to get a new one. or you can remove the bad line, measure the length and go to a parts store and pick a straight line that's closest and bend it yourself to fit. (MUCH cheaper but may be more work) Majestics site says it 'may have been discontinued' (sedan) so you 'may need to figure out how to fabricate' a new line to fit. 4 door car; Item #10, assuming you meant passenger side as right http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...y5=BRAKE+LINES 3 door car, item #12 may still be available http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...+LINES+%281%29 Also, if this one line rusted out you may well have many more under the car ready to blow out at any time. Brake lines tend to blow out at the worst possible times, when you needed it the most. |
