99 B16A2 Swap Issues 3 Attachment(s) Hey everyone, I've actually recently just done a b16a2 engine swap on my 1999 Honda Civic Sedan. Everything has been running very smooth, however I've come to realize that I have been getting very poor has mileage. On my last fill up for around 43 Litres, I only got out 370KM out of that. That too with a fairly light foot and efficient driving. I've seen other people post how much MPG they are getting and they're getting around high 20s to 30s. For sure I should be getting around mid 20s. I've yet to attach the secondary O2 sensor and am running the stock ECU for my D-Series motor right now. Could those things be the issue to my poor fuel mileage? |

Re: 99 B16A2 Swap Issues No, it can't be the brakes because I've just related them recently |
Re: 99 B16A2 Swap Issues I think the B16A2 engine gets less km per litre than the D-series engine you're replacing, but it should be a bit more than what you're describing. I think I get 400 - 415 km per full tank, which I think is 45 litres. Are you driving in lots of hilly terrain? Is your fuel filter good? Tires at the correct psi? Air filter clean? |
Re: 99 B16A2 Swap Issues Maybe with the ecu and O2 you are running rich and dumping too much fuel? |
