What is the best tire for 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid? I have a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid sedan and have averaged 41 mpg using the OEM tires (Michelin Destiny)for 65,000 but now I need new tires (and the Michelin Destiny has been discontinued and replaced by the Defender) and the Michelin Defender tire is only giving me about 38.5 on a trial basis. Does anyone have a better tire recommendation? Jack D. |

Here's a Prius forum talking about them... http://priuschat.com/threads/bought-...ve-got.121005/ Michelin Energy Saver is another one to look at. I think treadwear is rated lower but fuel economy is higher.....http://www.michelinman.com/tire-selector/category/passenger-car-minivan/energy-saver-a-s/tire-details There are other tire choices besides Michelin.... I personally like most Michelins though. Some are more desirable than others, for sure. |
Re: What is the best tire for 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid? Had very good luck with Michelin Harmonies for many years, and sets. (Now NLA) Can never seem to get in on that $70 rebate though...... |
Re: What is the best tire for 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid? The OEM tires (Michelin Destiny) have been discontinued and the Michelin Energy Savers do not fit my Honda Civic Hybrid. I have the Defenders inflated to 32 psi - I will try 38 psi or higher perhaps .... Jack |
Re: What is the best tire for 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid? 38 is going too high will wear center of tires and cause some car behavior to change. results could be more expensive than saving gas. |
