1998 Civic HX CVT tranny questions

Hello all! I just recently bought a 98 HX with the cvt transmission. This is my first car with a cvt so I'm not really sure how they should feel. Anyway I've noticed that when I start driving from a stop, it seems like it kind of lurches when the tranny engages and then it's fine... like I said I don't know maybe this is normal, just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed the same thing... Thanks!!

Probably normal. Hondas CVT does not drive like any other trans you have ever been around. Try to find another CVT Civic to ride in for comparison, even a Hybrid CVT is probably real similar.
