99si throwing P0106 Hi guys, I have a 1999 civic si turbo and yadda yadda all that jazz. I keep throwing P0106 and I want to say P0107 but i am at work and that car is at home so can't double check. But, does anybody have any ideas what an easy fix could be or where I should start. Haven't dealt with this one before. Thanks |
Re: 99si throwing P0106 Possible causes of P0106: - Bad MAP sensor - Water/dirt intrusion affecting MAP sensor connector - Open or short in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor - Ground problem due to corrosion causing intermittent signal problem - Bad PCM (do not assume the PCM is bad until you've exhausted all other possibilities) Possible causes of P0107: - Bad MAP sensor - Open or short in the signal circuit or 5 volt reference circuit - Ground circuit open or shorted - Bad PCM Best way to check reference voltage is with a scan tool in live data mode. Chances are the MAP sensor is bad although I would visually inspect the wires and connections first. |
Re: 99si throwing P0106 Thanks for the info. I am also throwing p1106 and have 2 of the main symptoms from p0106, car backfires once in a while, blows black smoke out tail pipe with fast acceleration, as well as misses at speed sometimes. any thoughts? |
