Where to ground!?! I know this is probably on the board somewhere, but im too lazy to look. I have all the wires ran back there and hooked up but the amp does not turn on!?!? 1st question... will the amp turn on if it's not properly grounded? 2nd question... where can i ground it? right now i have it on a shock bolt? please help :_doh: |
um..... wrong forum. and to answer your question. If it is not grounded then it will not turn on. the shock bolt should be fine. maybe you should check your turn-on lead. did you put the fuse in. did you hook it to the battery. |
i think my problem is i don't have it tightened down all the way, sorry about the wrong forum, im going to go try to get a bigger bolt and tighten it.... thanks:_bow: |
i really don't know what's wrong, i checked the remote turn on, i checked the power, i had the groudn on the bolt (but it wasn't tightened down all the way would that matter?) i feel so dumb |
can someone just drop me where they grounded theres? |
i grounded mine to a bolt behind the back seats but i took mine out a while ago. That's the only reason I could see the bolt. Just get a self tapping screw and put right between were the back seats fold down. Did you check to see if there is a fuse inthe AMP wire? (i'll post a pic in a minute) |
what do you mean a fuse in the amp wire, i have a fuse in the power wire? that what you mean? |
so your saying just get a screw that i can just turn in, and put it there and ground it there? |
yeh i meant to say amp wire i had mine had blown when was connecting mine once and i just upgraded to a bigger fuse besides that, just check al the connections and make sure their tight and in the right spots EDIT Yes, you can get a self tapping screw and just drill the ground there. It'll keep in snug and wont go anywhere. http://www.7thgencivic.com/old_attac...k%20seat%2Ejpg |
thank you sir, i will be trying it tonite and i'll post it if it works |
