bridging dual channel or get mono amp??

is the sound quality for a sub any different if you bridge a two-channel amp compared to a mono amp?

There will be if you have super subsonic dog hearing. The frequencies that a sub plays at are too low for human ears to differentiate mono from stereo. That is why most of the sub amp out now are mono amps.

but if you compare prices, the mono amps are pricier than the bridged stereo amps. thats why i ask the question. why not just go with the cheaper stereo amp and bridge it and save some cash??

Mono Class D amps?..or Mono Class A/B Amps?..

Which amps are you looking at dude..?

Class D Mono amps are cheaper than class a/b amps of the same power output..and are also more efficient and easier on your electrical system.. But given the damping abilities of class D amps..there could be some audible differences between using a class a/b and class D amp...
