AGM Battery?

SUP Nation!
In need of a new car battery. Had a Motomaster POS Canadian Tire Battery, and after some research i'm thinking AGM. I am right in the city so the AGM charging part makes lots of sense for me to get, but I am also seeing things about how charging systems in older cars aren't used to AGM batteries and may overcharge in super long trips, but the voltage difference is extremely low? Most of my trips are fairly short within the city. What are your guys's thoughts or experiences with AGM batteries? I've got an 02 civic coupe LX.
If I were to be getting an AGM it would be Motomaster Ultra AGM or Yellow-Top Optima. One thing I have noticed with AGM is CA/CCA are lower compared to some offered in regular acid.

Thanks!

Re: AGM Battery?

Actually, I think you are more likely to under charge it than over charge it. As long as your alternator stays under 14.9 volts, you will be fine. You will probably need to top it off occasionally if you do a lot of short trips.
