New Front Door speakers HELP

So as any young fellow with a slightly used 2002 Civic EX coupe might want to do, I decided to change the speakers a bit; since that the speakers in my car are not the greatest. so i was looking for some alternate options that will fit without major mods. Then i stumbled upon the Alpine SPR-60C with a top-mount depth 2-3/8. Of course i would be powering them with an amp ( thinking of the sound ordnance m4100 ) . Anyone know if i can make a spacer big enough to make those fit in the front door while keeping the door panel pretty stock? or should i settle with the smaller SPR-50Cs. ( on amazon.com those speakers are 100-150  ) The 6X9s ill be using are the Alpine SPR-69s and i know those fit in my rear deck ( these will also be taking power from the m4100) Thanks in advance.

I think they will fit. There's another thread up here where a guy used some 3/4 MDF for a spacer ring to fit some beefy infinity's in the door. I think the stock spacer is about the same thickness.

I'd probably agree with drhawkinz, but if you go on crutchfield.com they've got measurements for your car and will show you what fits and what doesnt

Re: New Front Door speakers HELP

Thanks for the replies, I talked to a few people on crutchfield and they all said that the Alpine SPR-60Cs wouldn't fit in the door without modifying the door panel itself. It saddened me slightly as now I had to settle on the 5 1/4 variants of the speakers which fit just fine. I have all the speakers 6x9 and the components running off of a pioneer GMD8604 amp which pushes 4 x 100watt rms and my system sounds great!:fullofwin:

I upgraded my doors with a pair of JL Audio coaxial 6.5s a couple years back. I had to make ring adapters that were 1/2".
