Civic grilles

Alright this is confusing me....I have seen what looks like black grilles on some of the 7thGens in the member's rides section and was wondering where you get them and how hard they would be to install...some info would be great also if it is an aftermarket grille how much is it??

FALKEN 06-17-2003 12:32 PM

they sell on ebay for $24.00 and are an easy install :D

MatrixShark 06-17-2003 12:56 PM

Yeah I (SEARCH) think they are pretty (SEARCH) cool too. I'm thinking of getting the (SEARCH) Altezza one myself... :shake:

You can go to www.tornactive.com. It's $45 plus %5 off if you're a member of this site. That's if you're talking about the 'Altezza' looking grill. The RS grill you can find on ebay. I'm not sure about the price of those.

KeNsHiN 06-17-2003 01:02 PM

what is the discount code??

bamb00 06-17-2003 01:02 PM

I think altezzas are about $24 and RS is about $40

KeNsHiN 06-17-2003 01:04 PM

damn!!! 52.10 after shipping!! i will try ebay........it it the same though?

bamb00 06-17-2003 01:07 PM

I think most people bought theirs off ebay, I did.

azure 06-17-2003 01:07 PM

Ebay has the Altezza grill every once in a while. Sometimes you can find it, sometimes you can't. I went thru tornactive because the guys on ebay don't ship to Hawaii :(

DaZeD 06-17-2003 01:10 PM

i got mine from ebay and installed it in a mater of 10mins. HCRacing is the company that puts them on ebay. If there is none on ebay i have the company's phone number and u can directly order it from them with a credit card.

bamb00 06-17-2003 01:11 PM

I got a friend to buy it for me and then I paid him to ship to Canada. The guy won't ship to Canada either. B@st@rd.

azure 06-17-2003 01:20 PM

Yup, HCRacing was the one I tried to buy it from on ebay. I pressed 'Buy It Noe' without knowing that he doesn't ship to Hawaii. He was cool about it though. He even gave me a positive rating... though I didn't buy anything from him.

supermanrjs 06-17-2003 03:19 PM

azure 06-17-2003 03:32 PM

FALKEN 06-17-2003 03:48 PM

get the altezza for $24.00

Lek 06-17-2003 06:53 PM

Thinking about getting a grill from the new Civic update.

http://www.ilovecivic.com/ .

It's like the one on the coupe, but has a chrome surround to match the chrome on the hood. It costs about $88 painted and fitted.

Silva616 06-17-2003 09:40 PM

I just got an RS grill with a chrome lip on ebay for 45 Bucks, they also had all crome and paintable black

01WingsWestCivic 06-17-2003 10:13 PM

i bought one of the altezza grilles from hcracing, cut out the center and added mesh to it. i think theres a diy on this site for that somewhere, its pretty much common sence though and i think it looks awesome.

UpNorth2k1 06-18-2003 04:48 PM

is there a DIY for this? is it possible? it seems like such a simple thing to do

supermanrjs 06-18-2003 08:30 PM

Yeah if it is a grille you buy then I don't need a DIY, but I didn't know if it was a grille or if it was just taken out or painted or what...

dma001 06-21-2003 10:54 PM

I followed the excellent step-by-step instructions from grillcraft.com, and I had my RS grille (from ebay seller x3racing) installed in about 20 minutes.
