silencer fell off exhuast.. lol
 
i was driving today and somelady pulled up next to me really fast beeping her horn. so i roll my window down and she tells me "something came out of your exhuast pipe". so i pulled over and my silencer was missing. i didnt even go back to bother looking becuase im sure the screw washer and nut are long lost anyway and the silencer is probbably been run over my 10 cars behind me. :_doh: i guess hand tightening the nut/screw thingy that holds it in isnt tight enuff. :_please:

anyything like this ever happen to you?[IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]:_doh: im probably gonna get a new exhuast anyway. custom piping with the muffler is wayy to loud. hehe leaning towards Tanabe rite now[IMG]i/expressions/demon.gif[/IMG]

samething happened to me when i had my celica.... i tightened it by hand and it flew right off on the freeway... i was like "damn, my exahust is so loud all of a sudden" :_doh:

so you didnt notice you exhaust got louder???

the only thing thats happened to me is that i had an egg (or maybe 2) in my tire so the whole darn car shakes like crazy and i drive it anyways - then i keep fearing that the psi is getting too low so i stop to refill it and the damn thing explodes right in my face:eek:not good to blow up your tire:cry:i will never get air at a gas station again after that!:tdown::_doh::_please:

did the silencer slip in easily?? cus mine is almost impossible to put on. it fitts with its edge flush with the muffler tip but then after that its pretty hard. i guess thts good cus if iit sliped out while i was driving id be really pissed

YEAH!!! i only put my silencer in to go around the block once to see what it sounded like...im a fan of louder exhausts so i took the thing right back out...i love my Tanabe

Yeah....I've heard of lots of people lossing their silencers. I'm just happy I have an exhaust that doesn't use or need them. Magnaflow :)

Tighten down them silencer bolts. Those things are becoming road hazards. :_doh:
