i need some advise.

i know it's dumb but listen.
which do you gthink i should get... all season floor matts, or the carpeted ones? ive heard some bad things about the carpeted onces, people say they stain easy and they soak easy aswell. i like the rubber all season ones cause i am sure it will be very protective, but i dont like it for looks. the carpeted ones are cheaper than the rubber ones btw

what do you guys think? :susp:

I know this is gay but I (My dad) put all-season on top of my vic floor mats. I prefer all-season, its easier to clean. If they get wet or if you spill something there won't be a damp smell in your car. Just my opinion.

o yeah and i just thought about the mildew smell. ew. if i end up getting those, i will have to put up with the smell.
how thick are the all seasons? thick enough to leave it one layer and not have to put anything under them? i wanna keep my interior carpeting clean:)

thanks

i have the oem reg floor mats never a problem at all

I think it would all depend on what conditions you live in..and how messy you are. Is there a lot of snow and stuff? and do you often spill on your floor? I have never spilled in my car..and I clean my feet as well as I can before getting in the car. I have the stock floor mats and have had no issues at all.

I've spilled coffee a lot in my car, but it is easy to clean. I just use the stock ones, for some reason Honda gave me an extra sets of floor matts when I bought the car so I just use the one that was already in the car.

If you tend to get your matts dirty, I would say go with the rubber. They wouldn't look bad and probably not that noticable being black and all. I had some in my old Prelude and didn't have any problems, easy to clean too.

you can have both, oem floor mats looks clean IMO all season floor mats are good if you are messy

I payed $70 at the dealer when I bought my car, and it is something that I will never do again. My floor mats slide all over the place, so I am going to get the all weather, because I think that they are a bit heaver. And I really like how damn easy they are to clean off!

well my i never let people bring open drinks in my civic. i always keep my car clean. i clean my shoes before i come in the car aswell. yeah i live in chicago and sometimes the weather is rough, but i keep my car floor spotless reguardless.

When I lived up north I used to get those plastic mats. But the dirt and stuff would collect in little puddles and go the heels of my shoes all messy with salt and stuff where it was around the gas pedal. Even if you hose them off every day, you still get all that mess if there is snow and ice and salt.

So I got just some cheapo carped mats and put in the car and they soak stuff up. They still had a rubber backing so it didn't soak through to the carpet. Then put the good mats away in the winter and get them back out for summer.

The carpet mats came with my car so I just use those. 3 months and no problems or smells but i don't eat in my car and I haven't spilled any drinks......yet.

I haven't had any problems with the mats soaking up, staining easy, etc. but my heel is wearing through the mat where the clutch pedal is. So, I am going to have to do something or else my heel is going to start wearing into the carpet. I am thinking of replacing them with the rubber ones for that reason.

My '93 accord had a section of tougher material where your heels rest and lasted for 5 years with almost no wear in that area.

Anyhow, I'd go carpet if the heel thing isn't a problem and you are getting black.
