MORE Coupe OEM Body Kits on Sedan? So, any more pics or experiences on the Coupe OEM Body Kit on Sedan, besides FlexEX? How about the new Kaminari Lip Kit? I have a 2K2 Silver EX Sedan and I am undecided on whether to go with the conservative but stylish look of the original OEM Body Kit or the more aggressive Kaminary Lip Kit. However, before I make a decision I would like to see some more pics of both kits on sedans and hear your opinions. Kapriccio |
first!! welcome to the site ...second ...there is a member ride section where you can probably find a couple of kaminari kit and a lot of oem kit.....so go ahead....try it out.... |
There is a member here that has the full kaminari sedan kit, with the full front fascia. I believe it's Revitcivic. Don't know if he has member's ride pages up, but that's his car on Kaminari's Website. |
Thanks, but I have already seen the member rides, and most of the kits are on coupes (I hope that the search for specific parts on the member rides comes up soon, that would be nice). I would like to hear opinions of the kits on the sedans, as well as the compatibility issue of the Coupe OEM kit on the Sedan. Kapriccio |
Well, let me see. As far as the OEM kit on a sedan, the only one I've seen is the one you mentioned, FlexEx, and it came out NICELY. You may want to PM him to find out exactly what modifications needed to be made. I believe the only mods were to the rear valence, and even those should have been minor. As far as the kaminari kit, I think it looks better than the OEM; I tend to like my car to stand out. If I wanted a conservative car, I'd leave it stock. Just my opinion there. Personally, I've decided to get the Sedan Kaminari sides and rear, and I'll get either the kaminari front lip, the Avenger front bumper replacement, or THIS front end, if they ever make it in urethane. All in all, it just comes down to the type of look you're going for: Aggressive? Or Reserved? |
Vizyun, I'm not sure yet if I want the more agressive look of the Kaminari or the sportier look of the OEM, but either way I think the sedan will look much better than stock. You're right, revitcivic was getting his "free" Kaminari kit installed a few weeks ago, but I havn't seen any pics yet. I would like to see some better pics of the Kaminari Lip Kit on a Sedan, because you really can't appreciate the Kaminari web site pics. |
yeah boy! I be pioneerin' dis zhit! OEM coupe kit fits almost perfectly. only "problem" is the rear valence and can easily be made to fit with a drill |
they only thing I can think of that will be the difference between the coupe and the sedan is the mounting holes. The wheel base is the same and you just have to watch out for the kit that like to hug the door. |
Sorry guys, I know I've been slacking on the pics, I've been busy with my little baby girl(they're a handfull). So i have not had time for a good photo session. Car is in the shop right now getting some sounds put in. When it comes out, I'll be sure to post the pics. My bust again |
