Are these projectors any good?

Projector lights on EBAY

I just bid on them, good idea or not?

I have those. They have worked really good for me( had them about 2-3 months). The only problem is that the turn signal and that lil driving light don't fit in their holes quite right. They are loose, I fixed it by putting a ring of silicone around it so it fits snug. BTW, replacement bulbs are like $4 for low beams:)

yes its great , my friend has those . looks great and nite good choice

angjc3 06-13-2002 10:03 PM

hey, I those exact headlights, if you want I can sell them to you

they use H1 and H3 bulbs by the way

They are $hit, do not buy them.

And don't listen to anybody that says they are bright--they are just trying to justify themselves for the money they spent. I can honestly tell you that light output is WAY WAY WAY worse. Light pattern is bad too. If you actually lift up the light and look inside the projectors, you'll see NOTHING. As in most of the light is wasted because of the lack of reflectors. To top off lack of efficiency, it uses weak H3 bulbs. These are typically fog lamp applications. Not for headlamps.

Brightness of hi-beams are acceptable, although not nearly as bright or wide as stock.

If you don't care about brightness, then buy them. They look great, and will get you tons of attention. Fit and finish is actually really good on the outside.

If you want them, I would also have to suggest a pair of REALLY good fog/driving lamps........ or prepare to hit some animal at night.

I agree with 01coupe, the lightbulbs are H1 and H3

which are typically for foglights,

but I have to admit that they look sweet

light output has never been a problem, I've been able to see everything site

unless you've had a bad experience which I'm assuming 01coupe has had

I think most of us aer satified

Well I have OEM foglamps, which are amazing.. so I am satisfied!

But when I get in my friend's 2001 Civic, who has stock headlights, his is WAY brighter than mine. That's when I get pi$$ed off. LOL.. but mine LOOKS a lot better. Way more attention... attention vs funcationality. Hmm. I guess I went with attention. :)

It's all fun and games, until you hit a deer.

I have the same projectors and, you would able to see them on my ride in the member's section (if the pics are uploading correctly)

AS for the brightness, I don't have a real problem with them but are not as bright as my previous PIAA lights.

But that will be taken care of in the upcoming weeks as I will be putting the HIDS

I have the same ones but chrome and they are pretty bright. oosofast2k1 has those exact ones and he has no complaints either.

I'd love to see someone put before & after photos up that show the light patterns shining against a wall or something from 10 feet away... I like the looks BUT will not do something that worsens performance (included my ability to see where I am going).
