Good one. My thoughts exactly. Here, ironcow, you want someone to make a decision for you -- here it is. GCs have had some probs and I don't like nuespeed springs (nor does my mechanic or tuner or anyone I know personally that races a Civic). Get the H&R cup kit when it is available for shipping. H&R has good shizzle and they are the only company that has noticed that there is an issue with the 4 Door Sedans and don't recommend their product for it. I assume you have a coupe. So there you go. Now, go do it!

you are never going to get a straight forward answer. different people are going to tell you different things. its like asking whos the best basketball team. more wins doesn't necessarily mean the best team and more recommendations necessarily mean the best coilovers. you dont ALWAYS get what you pay for. sometimes you pay less and you get more, sometimes you pay more and get less. who knows $100 drop zone coilovers might be just as good as $300 skunk2 or ground control coilovers...

Then there were the guys who got all nit picky about what is coilovers on my thread where I asked about "adjustable springs" so I just said to hell with that and told my buddy to buy Ground Controls.

civicvtec1ps 06-12-2002 09:45 PM

ground controls are the BEST

BlackSI 06-12-2002 10:00 PM

Most ppl prefer Ground control but Ive had good experiences with skunks

i think im just going to go buy the $150 arospeed coilovers on ebay

that way, cheaper then neuspeeds and i can slam them down or raise them up

wait...then i run into camber correction kits....p3nis

ok...how low to go before you need a camber kit...

if its like 2" im just going to get the neuspeed sports

Bartkat 06-13-2002 11:18 AM

I think most 2" drops probably need a kit. The best way to find out is to drop the car, and have the alignment checked. With Eibach ProKit 1" drop you don't need a kit, but they recommend a kit with the Sports wiich is less than 2" drop.

Ironcow - hope you didn't get the arospeed - I've heard bad things about that company....like SS that just break on people while they're shifting...they aren't the highest quality company from what I've seen...just an FYI...
