INJEN CAI

Just to let everyone know, I just bought an Injen CAI, and it is great. I looked at a few others, but there aren't that many for those of us withe auto lx's. Hope I help some people!

i ordered injen cai yesterday .
good thing you like it.
how much did u pay for it?

wannarace68 06-10-2002 06:30 PM

I payed under $200 but its been a while, so I can't remember exactly. I had to pay $40 for installation though, b/c I didn't want to remove my front bumper, and you have to. Lmk how it goes.

You do NOT need to remove your bumper to install an Injen CAI intake. You also do NOT have to jack up your car and remove your front right wheel either. There is plenty of room to work around once you remove a few clips and ONE screw from the underside of your bumper and wheel well. all you NEED to do is tor the steering wheel as far right as it will possibly go and you will have plenty of room to install it. As far as any cars that are lowered, it will be a slightly tighter fit, but im sure that its possible without removing the bumper or wheel. I did mine and had absolutely NO problems installing it that way.

Oh, well I didn't want to f**k up my car, and I wasn't sure, so I just payed the $40. Money well spent, if you ask me.

Hey man, Do you get any performance increase with the Injen CAI?
What about speed, and sound? Is there a difference in city driving?
Is it worth it? Thanks.:susp:

There isnt really a huge difference but i do luv the sound!

mastercave 06-11-2002 03:18 AM

I can't really hear the sound, but I do notice an difference in acceleration.

wannarace68 06-12-2002 06:20 PM

I did notice a diffrence in aceleration, and sound. After a while, you forget how it used to sound, so you dont notice it that much, but it is well worth it!

LeroyBrown 06-12-2002 06:38 PM

whether he did installed himself or payed for it is a moot point- it can't be reversed... anyway, i'm glad you like your intake.. i'm still going with the AEM though..

AceKicker 06-12-2002 07:08 PM
