to tach or not to tach?

What is the difference between a stock tach and an aftermarket tach? Ain't it the same thing? Is it better to have an aftermarket, I like my integrated one. What do you guys think?

FroggerDude 06-03-2002 09:41 PM

an aftermarket one would be for ppl without a tach.

So why do some people in this website still install a tach after they already have one. What's the point?

Rockthumper 06-03-2002 10:04 PM

Some aftermarket tachs have other options like shift lights, and reviews of runs completed like
where you shifted and stuff. Those could be helpful to some people that are pretty serious.

Well if to tach or not to tach is the question than my answer would be to TACH the monster tach that i installed on my 2k1 EX 5spd allows my to tune it to shift RIGHT before the redline and allows me to review as well so rockthumper was right its for serious racers or just for show i got it for both and every one i showed loves it!!!!!
