Intake Manifold Question Ok the other day i went to some friends who port and polish Intake manifolds.....low and behold it's now made of plastic....Honda's really getting cheap on us now....But... it is on the other hand lighter.....My question to you is has any one tryed to port this thing yet....because I dont think they make one yet for our cars unless it's custom made like that of DC car....by the way does anyone know who made there intake... I want that 170hp like DC car.... Sorry if this is old news.....If you can port plastic I'll go out and buy another one from honda and see what I get..... |
yes u can port plastic. just dont do alot at once bc the plastic will heat up and start to melt |
Ok then...I going to have my friend at PST port my manifold and I'll have it dyno'd at premier Auto works and I'll get back to all of you with the results...If anyone has done this please let me know...I want to know how it worked out for them....and what the gains are... |
yea get back to us and see. im thinking of doing it along with port and polishing eveything else |
ok i called honda and they say that the intake manifold on our cars are aluminum....do any of you have alum intake manifolds......because mine is plastic? |
the underside of mine is plastic. the throttle body is aluminum i believe |
Why don't we hit a Honda Tec in the head with one and ask him what its made of?????? |
