hood pad? most cars that i've seen have a pad on the underside of the hood. i was wondering if we would benefit in anyway by installing one. ie. less noise on the outside of the car. i don't know. i was just wondering. -jro |
Sure...more weight! Weight....bad for Civics |
haha! what about a carbon fiber hood pad? -jro |
Just get a cf hood...it's a good insulator for noise and heat and chicks dig it! |
LOL...just messing w/ ya. Seriously, though, where did you find a cf pad? |
uhhh.. how would a carbon fiber "PAD" be lighter than say.. the normal everyday ones that are commonly found on other cars? i'm certain carbon fiber is heavier than the stuff they use. haha.. and man.. it would just be silly. i don't like cf hoods myself, but i'd rather see you with the hood, than with some cf insulator on the underside of your STOCK hood. |
i didn't find a cf hood pad. i was just making a joke. somebody said that putting a hood pad would just increase the weight. thereby i said, as a joke, that i could get a cf hood pad ('cause cf is light). i apologize for the very crappy joke...but anyways...i was just wondering if a regualr one would work to quell some engine noise. (how much does a *regular* hood pad weigh?) -jro |
