Civic Type-R RIMS

I'm looking to get a new set of rims and I really like the 7 spoke Civic Type-R rims like these beauties..

Does anyone know of rims that are close in design and relatively light weight?
Or does anyone know if these are available anywhere in 4x100?

sorry can't help you, but just had to say that car is nice.....NICE

Are you sure those are the stock Type R rims? They look super phat!

InanimateCarbonRod 05-17-2002 01:56 PM

Check out the 5Zigen Fighters. Not exactly the same (6 split spokes), but very similar in style. Check out my ride, I have 'em.

The Type R's have a 5 lug spindle. FOr Si owners I think its pretty easy to convert to a 5 lug spindle because the rest of the suspension is the same as the RSX. But then again who does all that just for rims? well hope they make them in 4lug cause those are some sweet wheels

Waldo 05-17-2002 04:16 PM

The RSX along with the CR-V and Civic Si and Type r are based on our chasis i thought just my 2 cents

Mrciviclova
where did you find those at?? i want some in hyper silver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrciviclova 05-17-2002 04:56 PM

i found these rims Here. BTW i dont work for them (just found them). The shop name is Victoriatires. They are located close to Long Beach in CA. I think the prices on their site is kinda fair, but i have nooticed too many knock offs.

rim specifification:
name: ACE RACING SPADE
Silver=$220 or Chrome= $320
18*7.5 are 23 lbs <------- thats kinda heavy though

dont know about hyper silver quality finish, but sure if u call them on the number on their site you can find a sollution.
:)

Look closely at the wheels in this pic, they are 4 lug. I have no idea where to get them, but Honda makes them over in Japan. You might try calling Options Auto to see if they have any plans to sell them. I know they sell a lot of JDM Honda parts for the RSX.

Intruder 05-17-2002 05:29 PM

all the type-r pics I have seen have been 5 lugs, not sure where that pic came from with 4, hahaha

sc1golfr 05-17-2002 05:33 PM

look at the giovanna racing wheels...the KIRIN one is what i have....its very similar to that in a silver metallic color...but its 6 spoke....theyre sweet though

Mrciviclova 05-17-2002 05:59 PM

dont bother looking for JDMs.
If you want the rims on the Type R, then you should start looking in Europe, cause the car is not made in Japan. It is made in the UK.

Mrciviclova 05-17-2002 06:38 PM

i dont no where u got that photo from, but i found this photo of the Type R on the Honda Germany site:

I can see it is 5 lug!

REDFOG is that photo a civic SI or a Type R?

R3DF0G 05-17-2002 08:00 PM

Yeah I know the Type-R has 5-lug(see sig), but I think that's actually the JDM SiR:susp: The forum I originally found the pic on is down right now, so I cant show you the full size version.
