Loose gearbox in a 99civic ex

Hey guys sorry if this sounds dumb but I'm new to all this so I don't have much knowledge as many of you. I noticed my gearbox is extremely loose what parts would I have to order or check to let it have less wiggle room???

Would you mean the shift lever?

There are bushings in the shifter base under the car that wear out and allow looseness. Search the forum for 'shifter bushings' or some such.

I'm on a mobile, can't hotlink for you.

Correct but it also sometimes be caused by the crimp bolt holding the linkage to the transmission, mine was once worn out and ended up replacing with a bolt, but if you need to do what I did, replace with the tightest fitting bolt you can find, I kid you not I replaced crimp bolt with a bolt from a TV wall mounting kit lol. If it can hold a 60inch TV i'm sure it can hold a gear shift lol, and now its tighter brand new stock lol.

Best way is under the car grip the shifter portion going to the knob and the linkage and wobble it side to side opposing to each other and look for loose play. If so the two plastic bushings may be cracked or worn, check the three hole bushing going to the body (Has a metal bracket on it) for rips if if ruber or if poly, chunks are missing, replace with poly, usual 14 dollar fix.

If not that, go to the transmission side of the linkage, wobble it side with light pressure, if it moves a lot, there's your issue, the crimp pin. Even if it looks like a little, it will echo into more movement on the shifter, IE in second or whatever gear it feels like its in neutral with lots of side to side play.
