The revo is definitly a huge difference from stock, i agree its about a 40% reduce shift throw!!
i like it a lot!!

RSXtypeIvtec 05-14-2002 09:03 PM

you said in your previous post with Greys revo system that the on the "left" is the correct system?
well this looks exactly the same as the one on the "left?"

Storm897 05-14-2002 09:13 PM

disregard the last post. Had another phone conversation with people at autodynamic and REVOTechnica.
The one you, me, & grey have is the newer version of the revo short shifter system. The older version is the picture on the left. The newer model (the model on the right) came out cause people were demanding a shorter throw and were equiping there older models with aditional short shift adapters (dc sports, solo, etc).

Storm897 05-14-2002 09:18 PM

look at the picture above and you'll see why REVOTECHNICA modified there short shifter. The new version is similar to the old version with the dc sports short shifter adapter installed. See on both pictures where the cable attaches and youll understand.

RSXtypeIvtec 05-14-2002 09:22 PM

so if we have the older version, why would it allow the adapters but not the newer versions??
dont we want the one on the left that CAN use the adapters???

Storm897 05-14-2002 09:48 PM

The new ones that come from revo already have the cable placed differently so that the throw is less then the older version. If you had a old revo and put in a new revo you would supposedly feel that theres less shift involved in shifting gears

RSXtypeIvtec 05-14-2002 09:50 PM

but then doesnt that mean that you wouldnt be able to use the adapters with the new version Revo??

Decamo 05-14-2002 10:23 PM

Thats right. No adapters with new Revo (or RSX revo whatever it might be exactly). Why would you want to. Take a close look at those pics: Old Revo+adapter=New Revo.

PRCIVIC2001 05-14-2002 11:04 PM

They look good.

Desi 05-14-2002 11:36 PM

is there a new part # for the new revo? or is it still the same like the old version.

Storm897 05-15-2002 08:05 AM

same as the old. When ever you buy it from somewhere make sure to ask for it though.
If you buy from Rob (from tornactive.com) ask him which model he has first.
If you want you can call roger at autodynamic.com and he has both models (the old and new).
