dc sports header installed Hey guys....just installed my dc header today.....there's not that much gain....but you can feel a little difference....as far as looks....they look very nice....but i havent really noticed a huge power gain....but overall i give it a 5 out of 10....let me know what you guys think |
Do you have any pics to post? You don't feel ANY powergain? How does it sound? |
do those cheese cloth lookin wrapping fabrics work? ive seen ppl wrap up there header with that.. it suppose to keep it cooler? |
I think it acts like a heatshield. So the hot exhaust gases don't affect ambient air temperature of the engine bay. Our stock headers came with a heatshield btw but it is a metal one. |
how much did you get it for?? |
here's a pic of mine http://www.2k1civic.com/forum/messag...threadid=31621 |

Your not supposed to get it too hot for the first while, which means keeping the RPMs low for a couple days! |
just wait till we get a downpipe with a racing cat- idcivic has one from ebay and he says it works wonders. |
Yeah, with the stock downpipe and the close couped(sp?) cat. There really isn't much gain. Sure do look nice though. |
Yeah I put the racing downpipe on, its a good combo with the DC header, only problem is I am not using the 2nd o2 sensor, I am about to hook up an o2 simulator I bought that simulates the cat's readings at different RPM's. I just gotta figure out the wires to hook it on my ecu! |
