about Clear Cornering..

looking over at the DIY about clear cornering - just a bit confused.

do u really have to take apart the front bumper in order to do it?
why is such labor just to remove the orange thingamajig?

thanx.

Just to answer your question before you get screamed at, YES you do have to take the bumper off to clear your lights.

You have to open the whole headlight unit to get to the orange piece and you can't do it without taking the bumper off, the headlight out and opening the sealing!

yes u do need to take off front bumper...

Decamo 04-07-2002 12:37 PM

Taking off the bumper is not a big deal. I put off clearing my corners 'cause I thought taking the bumper off would be a hassle, its not. Helps to have jackstands though.

see the results here: my ride with close up of cleared headlight

You dont even need jackstands to do it. As long as dont have a big fat head and can get it under the bumber to see, your fine.

I've had my bumper off so many times I'm sick of it. I can do it in less than 5 minutes, but it's always a pain in the butt to have to take it off to do almost anything.

you actually have to remove your door panels and your engine block to clear your headlights

WhiteRiceBoi 04-08-2002 11:52 PM
