finally got my 17" rh s7 rims... i finally ordered them and i should be getting them in a couple days...i got the racinghart s7's in white and they're 17".....now, what size tires are the best? at first, i was thinking 205/40/17 but been reading around and heard 205/45/17 is better? what to do? -julie |
215/45/17 |
i forgot to mention that i lowered my car with neuspeed sport springs, which is a 1/8" drop, right? but yeah...i don't know if dropping the car makes a difference cuz some ppl tell me that if you get the wrong size tires or something, if you hit a bump or pot hole them the tires will hit the fenders or you'll hit a flat tire more often... |
*sigh* 205/45/17 is the recommended size from the Honda Dealers. They sell 17"s rims with 205/45/17 and H&R sport springs as dealer options. if you are using +42mm Offset.. you shouldnt have any problems. I've also seen a civic with 215/40/18 tires & rims set as an option as well.. you shouldnt have any problems. I am pretty sure the Honda Dealership have already thought of the proper fitment already. 1/8" drop springs. what are you talking about?????? |
Yeah I am going to go with 215/45/17 so I don't add miles but subtract a little Plus more tire equals more comfort thats my big worry. Nick |
going with 215/45/17 is a good choice... better handling i agree.. but wider tires = less fuel efficient. =] |
2 weeks ago i got 215-40-17's and there fine.. |
im going 215/45/17 in about 2 weeks:) |
