?........ you don't know the diff between ractive and apexi? big difference man. I heard ractive loses quality after a year, as for apexi one of the best name brand names

I found a Ractive axel-back on eBay that i got a good deal on. The workmanship on the whole thing was very good, it was a simple 10 minute job to swap out the stock - no horror stories about muffler shops & botched jobs - the fit was great.

Sounds low & deep and not too loud.

i want some thing loud!!!!!!

klectic 03-22-2002 12:42 PM

why do you want something loud?..its cool..but u might get all hassled w/ po po n sh!t...
and if you have an intake you might get a better sound too...

for the xtra 100 i would jus get apexi
but if u want to save and jus wanna go for look then get ractive.

if you want loud loud
go for sheep dog

flowmaster....?? HEHEHEHE flowmaster...

Actually I did it not so much for the look (because it basically looks the same as most other big round pipes sticking out of the ass end of a car) but rather, I wanted to be able to hear what the engine is doing. At the same time I didn't want it so loud that it caused problems with the law so for me it's been an OK choice. Once I get my air intake mod done, this may change...

i finally bought ractive muffler.. and.. after it has been installed...
i kinda.. regreted...
it sounds not bad.. but.. too loud...
if i can go back on time, i will buy n1 for sure...
however, it looks good...
since i got automatic, i give up on performance..

maybe next year i will get n1...

Can any of you with the ractive post a video or sound clip so we can hear what it sounds like?

nbpEMCivic 03-31-2002 10:55 AM

You will not gain/lose any power from switching mufflers, all you will get is a slight change in sound and looks.
