Kumho Ecsta 712's? hey guys.. I have quick question for ya... I want to switchout my firestone stock to the KUMHO Ecstra 712s... what size rims do I need? and do I need to lower my car to put those size rims? Please let me know.. thanks... |
if those Kumho's come in the stock wheel size for your car then you would not have to replace the rims. otherwise, you can use the Tire Calc link at the top of the site to calculate the tire size for any given size rim that will be closest overall diameter to stock. for example: if you wanted a 17 inch rim, you'd be best off getting Kumho Ecsta 712's in 215/45/17 size. that tire size would be closest to stock overall diameter. that would not require any modification of your car, no lowering or anything. |
Some tire guy told me the the Kumho 712's are really good... my dad's got it on his car... but 15" though... they seemed to last.... and i'm planning on getting 17" with the Ecstra 712 in 215/"45"R17 |
Assuming you want to keep the same overall diameter of your wheels (a good thing), I believe it is 24.4", without deviating too much from stock overall wheel diameter. Minimum is 16" rims, using the 205/55/16 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712. The Kumho's only come in lower profile sizes, 55 is about as high as it goes. You can't get anything less than 60 with 15". |
i own the kumho 215/45/17, awesome tire. |
205-40-17 is what i use...they work fine |
