Intruder 03-08-2002 02:17 PM

'DROOOOOOOOL'

02CarbonCivic 03-08-2002 02:17 PM

Where did you get them from and how much?

aZnVoYCe 03-08-2002 03:06 PM

How much would you sell for your cleared headlights? :)

showoff 03-08-2002 03:50 PM

Im so jealous Voiceofid! I preordered the chrome ones directly from genera so they can get it to my door asap. Do you have your HID kit yet? Check the bulbs and tell me what type of bulbs both low beam and high beams use.... Good luck! Ill be adding to this thread whenever i get mine as well..

Grey 03-08-2002 04:58 PM

Whoa!

They even come in a nice box. Right on.

Amphiprion 03-08-2002 04:59 PM

Very nice!! Let us know how they work for ya.....I've been looking at those (on eBay) for some time now, but still haven't made a decision (again, let us know what you think of them).

Voiceofid 03-08-2002 06:25 PM

i got them on ebay for 205, and then 22 dollars shipped ups insured:tup: took about a week for it to get here

about my cleared ones - i only got one, my aunt back into my car and destroyed one, along with my hood that's why i got these(the shop said it would cost 200 dollars to replace one housing)

the box is a very good quality cardboard box, and a lot of cousioning in the box too:tup: and the lights are also wrapped in bubble wrap and then got a sort of plastic film over them(that's why they are so reflective)

i remember we talked about the lights there is a hole in the deflector dish for the high beam.. what's that for again?

oh yes, and it also comes with the dot certified card:tup: just show them the card when you get pulled over(void if you replace any of the sockets or bulbs in the housing  )

Amphiprion 03-08-2002 10:00 PM

Thanks for the info.......I just may be getting a pair of those!

Voiceofid 03-08-2002 10:17 PM

SpdRcrChk 03-08-2002 10:17 PM

Grey 03-09-2002 07:51 AM

Boner pillow? WTF?

Absolute 03-09-2002 08:15 AM

looks sweeet!!!... i have one question though... when you get them will they have problems with water leaking inside and fogging up... is it sealed already... or do you have to use a sealant???

2k2civicballer 03-09-2002 08:20 AM

very nice!

don't look like it's a very good job seal, but the light fixture in the back has a little silicone hose... i think that's where the moisture will exit the housing... the exahust for the housing i guess

whiteboy5581 03-09-2002 01:02 PM

i just recieved my tyc projectors the other day. i saw them on another members ride and thought they were hot. under his mod section he mentioned an HID conversion kit and showoff mentioned it. i want to know what it is and where i can get it. the only HID kits i was aware of were the ones that came stock on high end cars.
i would appreciate any responses.

Voiceofid 03-09-2002 01:14 PM

maurex's car has the tyc lights and hid, he got his hid from a local shop hooking him up for 400 dollars.

oh yeah, just spent 2 hours installiung those lights, fits great, looks good on a black car:tup: had trouble closing the hood(the big dent on it hits the headlight) and i also had trouble fitting the right one in(where the accident was)

whiteboy5581 03-09-2002 01:19 PM

thanks for the info. maruxs is the first one i saw with the lights. what all is involved with the conversion. is it a matter of different bulbs, or is it all new wiring.

Voiceofid 03-09-2002 01:21 PM

there is a thread around prodcts fourm, search for it, it's started by maurex and he explains how to wire it up, trust me, you are not the only one thinks thats et up is cool, and wants to do the same thing

whiteboy5581 03-09-2002 01:29 PM

i'll have to look for it in the products. thanks dude. when i become a full fledged member we'll have to exchange pics. anyway, thanks for the feed back.

whiteboy5581 03-09-2002 02:29 PM

no luck on finding the forum posted by marux. i found one that said he used a TT and BMW kit. if there is wire cutting involved, i'm not doing it. i'll leave the projectors stock and see how i like them before i go so snipping tihs up. hopefully they'll have the bluish tint to them. if not i can change the bulbs to get the effect. if you find the post let me know. thanks for the help.

Grey 03-09-2002 07:55 PM

I think you might want this thread: pic of tyc projector with 6000k HID

WhosYoDadday85 03-09-2002 10:31 PM

On the TYC projectors, do blinker area's have to be orange....is there any way of making them clear? Also it's the same fit for sedan/coupe right?

Voiceofid 03-10-2002 06:08 AM

the blinker actually has 2 "windows" one facing front, which is white, and one on the side which is orange(also ur deflector i assume) it seems like it's possible to change the bulb out to while, but the bulb size is different now, and i haven't been able to fine ones that fits, i though looking at murex's headlights, leaving some orange is actually looks cool:tup: i think i'll leave it

Voiceofid 03-10-2002 12:57 PM

here is the pic of it on my car, i would should you the passengerside, but the hood is
