Xenon's Rear Bumper & duals Team Xenon's rear bumper is designed to present dual exhaust, this is something that no 2k1 Civic should have!. Duals on our ride are said to decrease back pressure and thus less HP. The thing is, I really like this kit, would my ride look dumb with just one Magnaflow? Also, running a dummy exhaust would just be lame and easy to notice in the cold. Here's the pretty problem. |
Veiw the whole kit here |
Hmm..but the thing is that a lot of body kits for our cars have cutouts for two exausts.... |
i have the kit and its not designed for two exhausts , its got a cutout section just on one side and on the other side its str8 urethane James |
the majority of the kits your are going to find look as if they are for 2 exausts. while this is partially true, the manufacturers main purpose for this style is for symmetry. personally, i think the style without having dual exausts throws off the symmetry even more than the styles meant for one. But hey, my name isn't Kaminar and i'm no shogun |
I have the Razzi kit and the rear lip is also designed for 2 exhausts. But like u said having 2 mufflers will basically mess ur car up. Thats why im going with the dummy. The LOOK of 2 exhausts is phat..... so what if it smokes off one hole it dont matter to me its 4 the LOOKhttp://www.razzi.com/vehicles/honda/...2dr_1414_5.jpg Look how phat that looks kid!!!!! |
i have the xenon kit and it looks pretty good with dual exhaust look here http://www.speedoption.com/community_driverprofiles_view.asp?driverprofile_id =29403&images=True |
just my opinion, but I think the kit looks fine WITHOUT the dual pipes... |
Duals would be fine if you put the Y after the muffler. For a really cool exhaust, buy a Flowmaster 2 Chamber muffler and put it where the resonator currently is. Then add the Y pipe after the muffler and out the back! It would be way cool!!!! |
Need easier terms CivicCowboy. I'm not understanding the whole "Y" thing. Pichy--I just bought the Mangnaflow CAT, do you buy an entire second exhaust or just the tip, cause I can't afford an entire second one? |
Remember that a dual exhaust does not decrease horsepower when you have a turbo. Just something to consider... |
Just get the tip kid there's no need to blow all that money away on another catback if its only gonna be a dummy. Get a tip that looks similar to the tip of the catback u just purchased. one |
Grey thats very true...Im looking forward to a new turbo for my car next year thats when i will put both exhausts to work... |
Tks for all the advice! |
Why not try this? If your not buying a complete cat-back exhaust and are putting on just a muffler, then simply buy two mufflers and some piping. Add a "Y" pipe before the mufflers and make both mufflers funtional. The difference in the length of the pipes to each muffler will give your car a very distinct deep tone. This would be the best way to add duals without power loss. |
U will still loose power. When i went to ask about installing 2 mufflers on my car i told the guys at MIDAS about that Y piece. He told me straight up that it would not be a good idea. Why? I asked. you will loose power and some times that some engines will not accept that change. Basically the car is not made for 2 exhausts. This is why i decided on the dummy because i dont want to loose horsepower or mess up my car. one |
