Installation prices for eibach springs?

I just got my eibach sportlines yesterday and called up a local tire shop called Tire Pros and they said they would install them for $300 with an alignment..Is this a good price b/c I know some people that work at Tire Pros and they said that retail for that installation with an alignment is usually over $350........Is it really that difficult to install springs?? Cause I could really use that $300 for an exhaust..

It sounds like they're ripping you off. Stores around here charge only $100 for installation. It really depends how low you're dropping your car to justify alignment.

i think it's one of the harder and more skilled things to do other than internal engine work...but that seems a bit high

i asked couple store and they said about $80.00...but i installed with my friends and cheap spring compressor ($10.00)

Should only cost you between $80 and $150 to have springs installed. Make sure that you get an alignment after you drop the car.

I'll do it for $50. If you live in the mid-atlantic area

it is hard....but more time consuming than anything...most shops will charge you 4 hours for 4 springs...adn usually they are aournd $50-$60 an hour....but $350 seems quite a bit high......

id look around for another place

I did mine myself, but the quote I got was like this: $30.00 per wheel to install the springs. $25.00 for the front camber kit. $147.00 for the rear camber kit. And $35 to install the front camber kit; $65 to install the rear. $69.00 for a full wheel alignment.

Man I love having friends that are mechanically inclined. My buddy is doing it for a twelve pack and a pizza. I just gotta get the springs first.

i went and got a quote on haveing eibach springs installed and i was also quoted 300 including an alignment and i thought that was high my friends said he would do it for a case of beer. if you have a spring compressor and some tools it isnt that hard. your car is new so none of the nuts should be stuck on yet!! and an alignment is usually only like 60 bucks most places and you possibly might need a camber kit.

It is definately not that hard of a diy. You can rent a spring compressor for free from some auto parts stores.
